Leaks happen. A floor drain carries them directly to the drinking water supply, or local river systems. Then there is the fact that a floor drain means some people will just let it take care of any oil spills in the garage instead of cleaning them up.

yes - a kid just got in the car a couple seconds ago & i snapped the shot quick before it closed because I feared the guy was going to blaze on out before I could grab the shot. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like that car has an after-market carbon fiber spoiler too - surprised @Trollbait didn't catch that. .
