My 2012 is coming up on 100,000 miles. I know the dealership will want to squeeze ever penny out of me. What really needs done?
i think nothing. check the maintenance schedule that came with your car, don't listen to dealer recommendations.
Nothing major till 120k, which will involve Engine and inverter coolant drain and refill. Engine oil replace Engine and cabin air filter replace Transmission drain and refill Brake flush Brake inspection Brake sliding pins lubing You can do these minor maintenance such as Throttle body cleaning Egr system cleaning Pcv replacement Hv battery fan cleaning Not sure what else I miss. All of these can be found on my YouTube channel if you want to do it yourself and save money on labor.
If you go through the NutzAboutBolts videos, you’ll see that you can tackle most of those projects yourself. If you do one every month or two, you’ll have it done by the time the car hits 120,000 miles. I found that the Prius is a very easy car to work on. I’d begin with the Prius Engine Cleaning video which NutsAboutBolts posted. Easier to work on a clean engine.
Why is this so hard? Anyway, the usual, plus the engine coolant (not the inverter): BTW: @bisco has gone over to the dark side, lol.
Shouldn’t your mask be black then. Or are you just happy being one of many and blending in? At least you didn’t choose General Grievous.
