Backup Cam Shield?

    Hello all! I've just purchased a used 2009 Prius with a backup camera. However, when the sun is shining down on the camera, there is a horrible glare and the camera doesn't pick anything up. I've searched everywhere for a shield for the actual camera, not the display inside the car, but haven't found anything. Anyone else have this problem?

    never had that problem. have you cleaned the lens real good?

    After cleaning, OP should look close to see how clear the lens surface is. After a decade, it may be scratched or crazed from past abrasion and dust and cleanings, making it more susceptible to sunlight glare than when it was new and pristine. If so, a shield will help considerably.
