I have a 2005 prius and i just hit 180,000 miles on it. I've had it for over a year now and i havent had any major problems. This morning i started it and the brake, master, and hybrid battery lights all came on. I got to my destination and then later when i started it again, and the ready light and the odometer didnt come up so it wouldnt run. so now it's stuck at my school and I dont know what to do!! the 12V battery was replaced 2 years ago, the oil was changed about a month ago, the water pump was replaced a few weeks ago, and it was running fine till now...help!!!!
UPDATE: I just checked the 12V battery and the battery tester came up as recharge and dead but the thing is that all of the auxillary things come up (the radio, lights, dashboard, etc). Could it be the 12V battery even though it is telling me that it's the hybrid battery??
you will have to take it to a dealer and have the trouble codes read. could be the 12v, oil level, inverter pump, hybrid battery, brake actuator, combo meter, and/or more.
no, the trouble codes are used along with the service manual and the included diagnostic tree to lead you to the culprit(s) sometimes, if you're lucky, posting the trouble codes here may bring an answer. some issues are more complicated than others.
