I was wondering if anyone else was having a similar issue. The check engine light has gone on 3X in 2 years. Once because the gas cap wasn't screwed on tight enough and the other times because an acorn got stuck in the grille. I didn't see the acorn when I've checked the grille. The dealership is going to replace the grille, but I don't think this will resolve the issue because the grille has been replaced before when the bumper was replaced and it happened again with the new grille. It's really annoying and will become expensive when the warranty expires if I have to continuously bring the car in to have them inspect the check engine light.
You might ask the dealer whether they used the new grille shutter parts specified in service bulletin T-SB-0319-17, “MIL "ON" DTC P05A072 Due to Debris Stuck in the Active Grille Shutter,” described in my previous posting.
