Having just bought a used 2015 Prius C, I am now getting busy geeking out about it. I came across an article on Green Car Reports which stated that some safety updates had been made to the 2015 year resulting in an improved crash safety rating. (Article dated August 10, 2015, "Latest Toyota Prius C Dubbed IIHS Top Safety Pick After Updates") Does this apply to all the Prius Cs in the 2015 model year? There wasn't any "2015 1/2" model or something, was there? I'm in California, my car was originally sold in California. Thanks!
There are differences if the car was built before May 2015 and after June 2015, according to IIHS. 2015 Toyota Prius c NHTSA 2015 TOYOTA PRIUS C 5 HB FWD | NHTSA
Interesting! I looked up my VIN online and found that this car's "series" is NHP10L, plant city Iwate (Japan). According to the Carfax, the date of 6/23/15 is when the car was "manufactured and shipped to original dealer" (source is given as NICB). I tried Googling the series number but didn't see anything helpful...
