Had my 2018 Prime+ for three weeks, and I store the charging cable in that pocket in the trunk. That pocket has all kinds of protuberances and clips and, generally, a pretty weird geometry. Is it because they make room for things behind it? Or is all that molded plastic meant to accommodate some kind of accessory I don't have? I like to know what stuff is for...
The tonneau cover that comes with Plus and Premium are foldable with flexible rod, but would not fit in the compartment used for the charging cable. I have no idea what's underneath it, but I am using that space for my tire plug kit and a few other emergency items, like flush light and Gorilla Duct Tape. My charging cable sits in a shed for my daily overnight charging on driveway.
Same here. The pocket is so tight and I’m worry that my cable will damage in long term. So I only leave this cable at home and using company free L2 charging. iPhone ?
In my car, they gave me a drawstring bag for the tonneau cover, with overly elaborate instructions on folding the thing up (it folds up just like sunshades). I have a feeling that it is the same as the pocket for the advanced trim, and accommodates the window-shade style tonneau cover. But who knows.
Take the pocket bin out, and you can access all the space under the battery. I found the missing 4" (vertical) in the trunk. It is below the battery. | PriusChat
