We has some really powerful storms roll through last night. The storms took out the power and the cable. We have a generator, an inverter and mobile data so no worries. Rather than run the generator I hooked up the inverter to the Camry to run a single 17 watt light so it wouldn't be so dark in the house. I had previously discussed the difference between the generator (fairly powerful) and the inverter (400 Watts max on a 10 amp 12VDC outlet). Guess what happened next? Hint, I went to AutoZone today... I know that the fuses are on page 470 of the Owner's Manual. The individual fuse locations do not seem to be specified in the Owner's Manual, only the location of the 3x fuse boxes. The individual fuses are labeled gray on black on the fuse box covers. The power 10 amp power outlet is protected by a 15 amp fuse. The Camry has a couple spare replacement fuses but I couldn't find a 15... Done guessing? She got up early and plugged in her coffee pot to the inverter! Learning experience for us all. Got 15s in the car for sure now...
i put in a 240v outlet for my table saw, but didn't have a 240 plug yet, so i just wired a regular outlet. next day while i'm at work, my wife takes her tv down to the shop to do some painting, and plugs it into the 240v.
