He should come back hungry for more next year ;).

But the Rams as they exist now will not last as there are too many high priced talents along with a younger roster that will be getting paid here very soon:cool:.

    The window is closing(y).

For some reason no one respects Edelman enough to make someone else beat them:cool:.

    Not sure why(y).

The only good thing about this game was seeing Joe carry the trophy

Oh contraire! You folks witnessed history last night, a classic defensive chess game.
Unless your from LA, (and I’m not sure anyone is) it was a game for the ages.

Or in the words of Lee Corso: “Not so fast my friends”;).

Defensive games while not high scoring still have end of game excitement as the game is close(y).

Supposedly 17 million workers were expected to stay away from work today, for hangovers / afterparties / whatever.

Western Washington workers and students had a better excuse to skip work or school: our first winter snow started during the game, and shut down most transportation. Most schools closed, public transit went onto their reduced snow routes schedule (and many articulated buses jackknifed on hills, closing some streets), residential streets are not high enough on the priority list to be reached by limited plowing resources on the first day, and the State Patrol requested that most people stay home, or at least off the roads.

My Prius with real snow tires got me to an early morning optometry test just fine, on time even after having to clear 6" of snow. Then so many other patients cancelled their appointments, it cleared much of the facility's previously full calendar, allowing me to get the full exam as a fill-in.

I took the Prius so the spouse to take the Subaru to her morning appointment in another direction. But it was cancelled, so she ended up not needing its AWD.

Someone wrote an article today about moving the game to Saturday.
Made all the sense in the world to me, but I haven’t heard the rebuttal

    To be honest?
When I was growing up, as a kid, my dad followed NBA basketball and the NFL the closest. So growing up I felt I had a good knowledge base of both the NBA and the NFL.
Once becoming an adult? I just felt I didn't have the time to really follow the NFL and MLB with the real attention they deserve. So I allowed myself ONLY the NBA. I still enjoy watching a football game or baseball game, but I don't have the familiarity and knowledge to really call myself a "knowledgeable" fan.
And really? Unless you are retired and have a lot of spare time on your hands, I don't know how people do it. I barely have enough time to stay caught up with just the mechanization's of the NBA. let alone The NFL and Major League Baseball.

Once thing I'll say is the NFL has done a great job with the Superbowl. For a league defining "Championship" the Superbowl has nearly an secular holiday status. I think of it as the first "Holdiay" after the holiday season.

I can pretty much ignore most of the NFL season and STILL enjoy the Superbowl.

Saw an article on ESPN that said viewership averaged 98.2 million with a peak at 100.7 million viewers.

Viewership in New Orleans as only at 25.6% where it typically does 50% for the Super Bowl.

Sounds like the boycott was supported locally there.

    That was a bad pick:(.

But who remembers that when you can blame someone else:cool:.

It’s like what happened to the Rams last night: squandering opportunities and coming up short in the end(y).

But against certain teams, you’ll sink
    Your ship:(.

The patriots you cannot squander opportunities and you cant let Brady be in the pocket picking you apart;).

    He’s the GOAT for a reason(y).

sometimes you just don't have what it takes. mistakes (mental and physical) are inevitable. sometimes it's just a bad day, sometimes it's who you are, sometimes the other team causes you to make them.

The one thing the patriots have is discipline ;).

Penalties are something they don’t commit with high regularity. And that’s a credit to coaching. They make sure they are prepared for the game:).

As a Steeler fan, I’ll trade Tomlin for the field any day of the week:cool:.

It doesn’t even have to be a high draft pick either(y).

great ownership there, but sometimes you have to know when to cut bait. tomlins a good coach, but at the end of a tight game, he could use some help. so could andy reid and a few others.
