In other uplifting news, Borneo will soon have a few less palm oil plantations: Project promises to turn palm oil plantations back into rainforest in Borneo
Oh and don't look, another no-wing boeing incident. Looks like Southwest was doing a repo of a MAX-8 and lost an engine. Thankfully no apparent overlap to the other incidents, but.... timing.
yep, when it rains, it pours. media will eat their own, and southwest was very max positive, even through the crashes, investigation and admissions.
They had a 'check engine light, after takeoff. Unlike car pilots, it is considered poor form to put tape over it. Many MAXes are being stored in Mojave Desert and one wonders if that implies anything about duration of hiatus.
I picked up a bit on that on another site, guy in the avionics business saying re-work ought to be complete by the end of summer, and they were already picking out new boats from the overtime projections. (this did assume that a real fix was approved an on deck right away) Also saw a headline (didn't go for the rest) saying Xi just did a deal for 300 Airbuses.
Airbus@732. Near as I can tell, China overall has ~100 Boeing MAXes on order. Orders for A320 family totaled ~300 and new order has doubled that.

Great link, thanks! I've been trying to get a wildflower patch going out on the corner of my lot. Not much has worked in the past couple of seasons but I doubt I'm trying the right stuff. Clicking through to a somewhat local supply house, it looks like swamp milkweed would do nicely in my setup.
i'm going to look into this too. i wonder if my johnny's seeds has it. their catalog says asclepius, milkweed and butterfly weed are all the same? we have butterfly weed all over the garden but common milkweed looks different to me
Try this site. How to Grow Milkweed Milkweeds are weed, not a cultivated flower. This store specializes in wild flowers. I have had very good luck with them. That said, growing milkweed from seeds may be a challenge. Good luck.
