Hello, My 2014 Prius has stopped cooling the air when I am stopped, but works perfectly fine when I start moving. The air speed stays the same, moving or not, but the air quickly changes to warm when I come to a stop. Anyone know what it might be? Thanks!
The easy "thought" would be that the fans are not working, that it's only working when the car's speed is causing enough air flow through the front condenser (AC radiator). But maybe that's too pat: does it start blowing cool even if you're just rolling slowly?
ScanGuage is one gizmo that can report on that it. Maybe not the most easy. You need to add this XGauge, which is a feat in itself. Look for A/C Power Usage in column A, in the attached spreadsheet:
