Now that the weather is getting warmer where I live (93 or so today), I find that when I put the car back in the garage after driving around town on EV, the garage doesn't heat up as much as it used to with a hot engine being parked in there. Nice little advantage. My garage is insulated but unheated/uncooled and under a living space, so keeping it cool in the summer is a plus.
Also if you have a home charger or use your 120 volt charger you'll find out that your mileage will increase. Right now I'm getting 34.9 EV miles. It keeps increasing every day. And I believe that's because of the warm weather. I do charge my Prime on a charge point charger. Is another benefit of warm weather. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Here is the short history of my car on EV. Steady increase of EV range as the weather got warmer this year, now it may take a hit when the A/C is running. June 5 was 93F and sunny.
Wow, at 93F I have to blast AC to be comfortable which will bring my EV range down. For me May~June are the best months. Temp staying cool 50's F, I don't need heat nor cool. AC load stays 0.
