Just had the oil changed, reset the maintenance on the dash. Before the oil change the ac would work the way it was designed, and cooled while the engine was off, but car was in run mode. Now the AC will not come on unless the engine is running. Any suggestions? The car has the original 12 v battery but not sure that had anything to do with it.
Does your car have an ECO-mode button? did somebody press it? ECO mode reduces A/C availability. It would be on the console between the seats. I’m not sure if all years/models got that mode switch.
Yes but it does not come on AS MUCH and may appear that it is not coming on at all. By all means, check all of the climate control settings too. The "oil jockeys" tend to fiddle with things that they shouldn't.
