A google search turns up it’s an RFID tag for tracking and logistics. So if you bought your car used, perhaps it was previously a fleet vehicle.
Or used by the dealer for tracking/inventory... In any case, it's not part of the vehicle, so it can be thrown away... P.S. When I saw NFC, I immediately thought "Near Field Communication", but then I realized what it actually stands for...

Sometimes those are just keys for certain garages, or carwash payment tokens. Lots of reasons for RFID stickers on cars now.
