Tomlin needs help in all phases. Hence the internal squabbles with Brown and Big Ben. If accountability at all phases were to occur, AB would be what Bruce Arians remembers. Too bad Tomlin forced him into retirement too.
(*sigh!*) Why I watch baseball these days...... Ruling in Saints fan's lawsuit could mean Roger Goodell is deposed over controversial no-call | Saints | nola.com
it wasn't appreciated, but it was the managers fault for putting him out there when he could hardly walk. media wouldn't let it go, nd even ESPN still runs the replay to this day. bill loved it here, and said so in many interviews, and he was well liked around town, post career. a few wise guy writers (we've got more than our share) never let up on the guy, and always purport to 'just be reflecting the fans viewpoint' there was plenty of blame for losing the series to the mets, that was one very small factor.
All valid points. Boston is a tough sports town, much like Philly where they always have Donovan McNabb a tough time and all he did was get them to the playoffs. Same thing with Andy Reid and his record there, which still continues to win in Kansas City . Guess Chip Kelly may fit the most hated bill .
it's all media driven. i hear people say, 'boston fans don't appreciate what they have'. where do they get that idea, talking to fans? nope, reading articles, or listening to talking heads on radio and tv.
case in point: most fans are not unhappy with the sox hangover, but if you read the stories, the sky is falling, and we should trade away the farm and pay anything to bring in an overpaid player or two.
While that sounds good, why is John Farrell no longer the manager of the Sox? His record was above 500, but that ain’t good enough for Beantown.
But what causes the successful manager to be relieved of his duties? Just the media, or do the large hordes of paying customers who boo loudly have anything to do with it.
okay, you're above my pay grade now. idk how much booing farrell was getting, but i guess the owners would have to be asked that question. certainly, the bottom line always rules. but then, there an old saying in baseball: if you listen to the fans, pretty soon, you'll be sitting in the stands with them.
Only reason I’m knowledgeable on the sox is due to a former boss being a rabid fan of them. The 2014 season was nauseating . I’d enjoy seeing John Henry with the commoners .
i know, one win and they're happy. still, i see most of it as media driven. they spend most of their time criticizing the goat qb and coach.
The hoodie is a great media attraction . His news conferences are the best, particularly when talking about a loss. I am impressed he and Tom terrific have lasted as long as they have.
