The document not presented to HSCI seems a lot like what you would get if you handed a red pen to one of our long-time PrIusChat posters and put him in an approval position over other people's findings. Link followed from this article.
Oh that's unfortunate. Does this one work? It appears to be the same, but maybe projected to black and white to save bytes. So the marginalia don't have the same fun red backgrounds. Or this or this.
Some alternates: White House blocked State Department agency from warning about climate change, Washington Post reports - CNNPolitics White House blocked state department testimony on climate change - Business Insider White House blocked intelligence agency’s written testimony on climate change - The Salt Lake Tribune https://www.washingtonpost.com/context/the-national-security-implications-of-climate-change/d5977183-15d9-45eb-a011-d4c701b02594/?utm_term=.b9b779a9cdc7
Thanks for referrals. It may be a fiduciary duty to highlight all efforts like this. Optimistic/Panglossian view is that folks who need to know about climate change etc. communicate with folks who do know. By means other than public legislative hearings.
The news reports about it are all well and good, but there's just nothing like reading the 13-page PDF itself, with the marginal comments added from upstairs.
PM sent. FWIW....this thread might be more properly discussed in the tree hugger or political forums. I HAVE NEVER nor WILL EVER go crying to the mods wanting a 'fairness doctrine' to be exercised on this forum, but evidently there are those who do - EVEN in the political sub-forum. ...don't ask me how I know....
PM received, there are misconceptions in document comments. It would be a large effort to work them closer to current scientific understanding. Late in the game they become more vituperative. Some entertainment value in reading that far. The actual vituperator is semi-outed and easy to find more details. I suppose somebody will do the doxxing. Not me.
So close to a bingo. Just needed to add a "It's the sun!" or "No warming since 1998" comment. Can we send the document back to the reviewer so they can get it right this time?
