Greetings, as potential Prius buyer i search on this forum for any useful information about Priuses and based on info i got i should avoid Gen 3 if im looking at long term ownage. So my question is what should i or any other potential Gen 4 buyer look for when i/we are inspecting it im more intrested in prefacelift version so 2016-2018? only thing i know is check if recals were done, check if car scraped the bottom and if car was regualy driven to service.
The Gen 4 is a much more modern car, more economical by a small margin, and a considerably better car to drive. It is probably better equipped, but I'm not sure of your country. The Gen 3 has better inside storage and a bigger boot. There are plenty of comments on PriusChat about which is best, the things people don't like about them etc. Maybe use the search bar at the top of the home page?
Greetings, i think you misunderstood my post i was asking what should potential buyer look for when he is buying used Gen4 besides recalls
The only issues I am aware of are US specific due to corporate choices. Early 2016 speedometer was mph only. 2017 added many safety features as standard. The middle of 2017 there were more safety features added.
That was in USA - other nations were different. In Australia, there were no changes to specification during 2016/17/18. 2019 has different stying and a different dashboard layout.
i posted the same question and got a few responses.
