Prius 2004 12v battery problem

    I replaced my 12v oem battery that went out after 2 yrs with a new replacement non-oem battery from O'Reillys auto parts twice (both times 2 days after installation). My main electrical battery is also going out. Could this b the reason why my 12v battery is not charging?

    welcome!
    it is possible that the inverter converter is defective. if you are going to diy, get tech stream from amazon. search here for recommendations.

    Did O'Reilly test the battery to make sure it was bad?

    If your car is in ready mode, it should have a reading of 13.8v or higher at the 12v battery. That's how you know it's charging.

    Also make sure all your connections are tight and you don't have anything in the car that's draining it

    They tested the 1st battery, which was an OEM battery, and they said it was bad. I then bought an aftermarket 12v battery from o'reilly. The previously didn't check the battery when I swapped out the battery the last 2 times at oreillys. They just swapped the battery out without checking it.
