Warranty in regards to Salvage/Prior salvage

    Question... I've read online that the HV Prius battery is under a 100,000 or 10 year warranty (for the Gen 2 at least). What if the vehicle has a salvage/prior salvage title?

    If you were in a state that required that warranty you'd have to have a clean title...

    Not sure the dealer would be privy to the title status, unless you told them. Is the title status also printed on the vehicle registration?

    Assuming the mileage was under 100k, at best it should have about 60 days left on said 10 year warranty.

    In order for the dealership to get reimbursed by Toyota for a new battery pack they're going to look up the vehicle history via the Vin# and if that has no mention of the salvaged then it's worth a shot. Go here to find out: Track Your Service Records with Your Toyota Owners Account
