So, I've made few aesthetic mods to my "new" 2013- RAV4 17" wheels, Valenti tail lights, body-colored Toyota emblem background, and removed the rear Prius emblem. I also just didn't like that fugly and drab single exhaust tip hanging down. So I looked for a conservatively-styled dual tip similar to one Toyota might have added if they had added one. The longest part of the project was the time it took to find a new tip that didn't have ridiculous 3" or 4" outlets! Finally found a stainless tip on ebay that looked right to me. Expensive at $45, but they had a returned one for $30. I cut slits in the inlet pipe of the new tip to allow it to shrink down and clamp onto the original pipe. I also added a 270 degree section of exhaust pipe as a shim to make the two diameters compatible. A stainless steel 2-1/8" exhaust clamp fastens the new tip in place. I masked the new tip and sandblasted part of it just to leave the dual tips polished. I think it looks pretty good. .

To each their own...tastes, and styles. But I have a hard time wrapping my head around owning a vehicle designed very specifically to create lower emissions, and then adorning it with a dual exhaust. My personal opinion is a Prius isn't a "Dual Exhaust" type of vehicle. But does it look good? It's good work, and if YOU like it....enjoy. I await the oversized knobby tires, and the future bush guard. ( just kidding ).
