Just bought a aftermarket head unit called XTRONS . but I really dont know about wiring . there is not any wiring diagram in instruction manual and I dont want to take to shop . I remove my original toyota head unit and there are 5 connectors but the xtrons just have 4 . any idea ?
Xtrons sells a "plug n play" Prius unit but it's only sold as a RHD model. Posters from the US won't be able to help you. You need to contact the seller. Make sure they sent you the correct wiring harness. You might take a picture of the back of your factory radio and send it to the seller. Give the seller complete information, does your original unit come with JBL or factory navigation. It's possible they sent you the wrong cable or wrong unit. It's also possible you didn't order the Prius plug n play model. How many of the connectors had a cable attached. My factory JBL unit has a socket which isn't used. Edit: I checked, on my car the (small) unused by aftermarket units socket is for the factory bluetooth microphone cable. For a variety of reasons plug n play aftermarket units don't use the stock bluetooth microphone. You either install an external microphone or use a built in microphone on the unit. You might try the unit.
Thank you @prius2010II , My car is imported from japan to UK and it is RHD and my genuine head unit is not jbl , I contacted the seller and send them some photos but they dont know what is that extra harness .
If it's the smallest plug/socket and your car has bluetooth I'd go with it being the plug for your bluetooth mic.
