Mini Vci 1.4 quick Q - will it read codes on a 2012

    What the title said; looking to find out this asap. I need fast a mini vci to read codes on a 2012. I found this firmware 1.4 with Techstream 13 on amazon that can ship here tomorrow (amazon com has good reviews for that - I hope it works).

    From what I understand that will work to read codes just fine? It will limit me for certain setting mods and whatnot?

    The software version - it says in the link - it's v13.00.022 . The build: do you mean the car or the computer?

    If you purchased a J2534 protocol dongle, the dongle will be able to plug into the OBD2 port for reading the codes;).

    Some members have had challenges either installing the software or having the dongle recognizing the software either due to installation challenges or the quality of the dongle:cool:.

    But it is set up to read the codes:).

    Should be here Fri or Sat. Will def update because of the whole brakes issue if you saw that.
