Any issues with EV driving with the Low Fuel Light for a long period?

    You probably still have over ~2 gallons in your tank because of the amount of Yellow still shown on your gauge.

    You have used only 9.2 gal of gas so far. Meaning you still have ~2 gal of gas left in your tank. You can easily go over 5K miles/tank at this rate.

    All of these systems are sealed. The tanks are sealed, the pump is sealed, the refinery is sealed, your car is sealed. Any exposure to moisture is both small in quantity and small in timeframe. Water is NOT an issue in car gas.

    Never claimed water was an issue. Those looking for negatives for ethanol do claim its hygroscopic property makes water an issue. I'm just pointing out that if water is an issue, it isn't because of ethanol.

    Sadly, I had to fill up a few days ago. However, that's over 4700 miles on one "tank" and roughly 400 miles after the low fuel light turned on.

    Another quick trip somewhere in the Prime, the picture was taken while filling up with E0 at the gas station when I got home.

    Agree.
    Not only that, driving with the fuel level too low causes the fuel pump (dc motor) inside the fuel tank to overheat because the gasoline is the cooling & lubricating medium/liquid.
    Keep the fuel at least 1/8 full tank at minimum to avoid this kind of situation and prolong the fuel pump life.

    I understand the logic, but does it really apply if you aren't actually using the engine? I spent almost all of the time with my low fuel light on driving in EV mode. The only thing that was really heating up in the car was the heatpump to keep it warm in the winter.
