Folks, I currently own a 2015 Prius V and my wife is looking for more cup holders. Specifically, I noticed that the driver's side has a blank panel instead of a dash mounted cup holder like the passenger side. However, it looks like the plastic panels are very close in size. Has anyone tried installing a passenger cup-holder in place of the driver's blank plastic panel? Does anyone have the part number for the cup-holder part from the passenger side? Thanks, Brian
My guess is there is no room behind the left side. A dealer’s parts department could give you the right side’s part number. Don’t forget the cup holders in the doors plus the lower one that slides out of the center console.
More cup holders? I am impressed. Yes, don't forget the door panel cup holder. That slot to the left I understood to be for the Japanese market "road toll cards". You could experiment and remove that panel/ slot and see what is behind, not sure what is involved in removal; maybe start with the panel below the steering column. I am curious for one. Let us know the how tos and findings. Good luck.
This is a high-quality GM part that I think would fit in the lower console area- could be attached with velcro or automotive double-sided trim tape. It would obviously block the single slide-out cupholder, but would provide two instead. For 2007-2014 GM Silverado Sierra Suburban Tahoe Yukon Floor Console Cup Holder | eBay I've used this in other cars, including my Element. Added rugged cupholder to center cover below dash | Honda Element Owners Club
Curious because I thought the 3 cup holders were great and I miss that in my current Rav4. My water, her water, her tea. She used the pull down one for her current drink, the slide out for her next/done one. I'd use the top of center armrest one. Why are more needed?
