I won a bid on a 2015 Prius Persona and noticed additional damage when my deliver driver took some photos. Their policy states that once the car is gone there’s nothing they will do but I’m working with the manager at the branch for a solution. I’ve been a customer for many years and I’ve never ran into this issue with them but it’s very unfortunate. Looks like the forklift dented in the hatch cover and the tail light. Not only did the replaceable parts get damaged, the actual body panel under the tail light looks cracked. Just be aware and always have someone take a photo of your car before loading it.
I've always gone with the assumption that any car loaded onto anything by a fork truck is not going to look exactly the same afterward..............
I think you have pretty firm case with the before and after pictures. You take this to court and no doubt you’ll win. You might tell the manager that.
Did you see it happen? I don't see how a fork lift could do that. And WHY/HOW would they use a fork lift? You will probably have to sue the fork lift company. But since you've been a customer with them for many years, give them a chance to make it right. Or you may no be a customer of theirs any longer.
You sure that is a Persona? I dont see the Persona badge on the back nor the turn signals on the side mirrors? So the side damage and bumper were there when bidding?
UPDATE: Called management and they said there's nothing they can due since the car has already left the area. Gonna look into my options. Will keep you guys posted.
