I recently purchased a Garmin Smart Drive 65 with Amazon Alexa. I have a 2011 Prius with JBL but no navigation. I'd like to be able to channel audio from the Garmin to my car's speakers instead of from the Garmin itself. I tried using a Mpow BH298A Bluetooth 5.0 Receiver Audio Adapter but couldn't get it to work through the car's speakers, only my iPhone 8. Any suggestions?
I don't use iPhone, but there's been some posts on here about configuration problems with iPhone bluetooth... If I was in your situation, I'd shut off the Garmin and try to get the phone working on car stereo first, then see if you can figure out a way to get both of them operating at the same time, which seems like it might be challenging...
