Be interesting to see real world MPG figures. Mitsubishi PHEV, with the heavy battery to lug around can't do as good as a RAV4 unless regularly charged. Or maybe TOYOTA has more advanced Hybrid technology?
not much there. i think the ford is a sharper looking vehicle. it will be nice to drive bothand get a feel for the interior spaces. 39 v 30 ev miles is a big difference, and non ev mpg's are important. but msrp and discounting will be a strong motivator as well.
I'd trust Toyota to get high mpg numbers for the RAV4 PHV. (which I assume that's the moniker you will get). The RAV4 Hybrid is rated at 5.6L/100km combined here so I'd imagine it will be close to that number, maybe a touch less due to weight.
Yes, that's about what I've seen from them with journalists. But PHEVs haven't been all that good - great if they're studiously plugged in - but left to run as hybrids, not so much.
Without plugging in the prius prime still gets about the same gas mileage as the prius. In the US the rating are 55mpg highway for the prime vs 53 mpg highway for the prius.
