I would like to replace my Gen2 hybrid battery pack with a new battery (not refurb as many on here say it's only a bandaid) myself but when I called the dealership they said they would only sell to shops or to someone with a hybrid certification. Anyone in the SF north bay area that could help me out?
That dealer was not telling it like it is... Keep calling around... A dealer selling them in the $1700 range is going to be selling more direct to car owners than those selling for a higher price. Are you going to install yourself? It's pretty easy... I'll be down in the area visting family in a few weeks or so if you need help. I can do it in 2 hours @ $40 per hour.
