I created this thread to discuss problems or discoveries about the Entune app suite itself. Nickname problem fix: Several users are/were having trouble when renaming their vehicle's display name and getting the new name to show up in the Entune App Suite. Contacting support via email was worthless so I called direct and learned many things I've been wondering about the app suite. You can give your Prius Prime a custom display name in the app itself or by visiting myentune.com. Myself and others changed the vehicle nickname to something other than the randomly assigned name on the MyEntune web site, but the new display name would not show up on the app's ECO Dashboard page. In my case the new nickname "did" show up on the Charge Management, Charge Station Map, Remote Climate and the Vehicle Finder app pages, but not on the app ECO Dashboard page. The fix is easy and must be done from inside the app. For android, open the Entune app suite. On the Entune app suite main page, tap the settings hamburger (three vertical dots, upper right hand corner), and tap Options. Under "Entune Settings", tap "My Account". On this page at the bottom, tap "Vehicles" and if you have more than one, tap the name of your Prius Prime. On this page, tap "Nickname". Here you have the chance to change it, but you MUST tap SAVE. Now exit all the way out of the Entune app. Open the Entune app again and the vehicle nickname that you'd previously setup or just changed, will show up on each of the Entune pages including the ECO Dashboard. Problem solved.
App Eco Dashboard History It "is" possible to access the prior months details for "each" of the Eco Dashboard Summary items. Let's say you want to see your prior month's fuel consumption. Just tap "fuel consumption's value" in the summary section. You'll see the current month's data. To see any prior month's data, tap on the NAME of the month in the graph at the top. Don't tap the graph bar, tap the month name (Oct, Nov, etc.) under the bar. TA DA!! I don't know how long this history will stay in the app so you might want to get a scrolling screen grab of the prior months data to keep while it's there.
Great job! Although one minor technical nitpick... Google calls the 3 stacked lines icon "menu", although most people refer to it as a "hamburger menu", and the vertical ellipsis icon, "more horiz". "Kebob" or "snowman" menu might work, but "dango" menu would fly right past Job's customers. There's no good term for that I've found, I just call it 3 stacked dots... button - What is the hamburger menu icon called and the three vertical dots icon called? - Stack Overflow Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thanks, Mark 57. Worked great for me. You should work for Toyota. (Well, it showed up on my Eco Date Page with the new name but when I looked at the list of rankings it had not changed. Does that take a cycle or so?)
Please, no! I've been too long in the trenches as a copy editor, proofreader & technical writer! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I'm glad it helped someone. It appears you have to drive and update your own stats to get it to update even though other member numbers are changing. I would NEVER have guessed . . . .
How to change the App Suite's 4 digit passcode. If you've forgotten, or want to change the passcode and you're at the screen below, just go to the main app suite home page, tap the three vertical dots to get to the options, tap options, tap sign out. Exit the app. Open the app suite again, sign in, then pick any of the 5 Prius Prime apps (Charge Management, Charge Station Map, Remote Climate, Vehicle Finder, or the ECO Dashboard) and it will prompt you to create a new 4 digit passcode. It will stay in effect until you log out of the app again.
i just bought my Prius Prime 2017 but i can not use my entune Suit because of this error i put all the VIN number as you can see in the picture kindly help
I only count 12 characters in the VIN you entered. The car has 17 characters. Your number doesn't even look like a VIN. It should be something like this. Your number looks like a model number.
Entune is only for North America and doesn’t work in Pakistan or any other country. Each region had their own system (Entune for North America, Toyota Touch for Europe and T-Connect for Japan). You cannot register a car outside of North America with Entune.
Also, a Toyota VIN will always have a "T" as the second letter as in the picture I provided, and it will have 17 characters.
