Hello, I'm a new car owner and I recently noticed that right under the front light, the bumper was coming out a little. I got my oil change recently (~ 1week) and I'm wondering if they had anything to do with it. I wonder if this is a big issue, I'm scared the whole thing might come off. The two pictures are for comparison, taken from the same angle (the left and the right side) Any help/suggestion would be great. Thank you!
Might be a loose clip or when they were changing the oil, they were a bit rough with the plastic panel underneath the car (which is sorta connected to the bumper via clips). Maybe just ask the dealer and see if it snaps back. It is a warranty issue if the bumper isn't attached to the car and there's no obvious outside damage (e.g. another car hitting it).
Current vehicle design commonly uses a plastic connector that bolts typically to the fenders on each side and then the bumper clip, umm, clips to that connector and they snap together. A quick rap with the palm of my hand or a rubber mallet has been successful with many of these but sometimes loosening, removal and replacement of the plastic connector is needed. Worst case, the clips break. You can see one of those clips in the second photo near the top. GOOD LUCK!
If it is only like a loose clip thing then it is probably not a big issue, I will just bring it to the dealer where I changed my oil and ask them. THANK YOU!
