I want to get floor liners for front and maybe back due to Canadian winters, rain, snow, mud, mountain biking, camping, kids, etc. Car is a 2018 Prius Prime. I had Husky in my 4Runner. They had good coverage and drain channels, but I especially liked the “teeth” underneath like old school mats that held them in place better.
I don't have a personal experience but I have read in a review article that says 3D MAXpider company product was better than either Weathertech or Husky. It is certainly cheaper than either of them. I have an extra set Toyota OEM all-weather mat. They are not as deep or as wide as those aftermarket ones, but they work. The only thing is the second-row pieces are useless for 2020 PRIME because of the separate mats on right and left and nothing in the middle.
Otherethan OEM, I've always had Weather Tech floor mats and love it. I've seen Husky mats, just didn't quite like lt. Maybe it's just personal preference.. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Those 3D Maxpider liners look super sleek! Also seems like they're more light weight. What worries me is that they seem to rely on a waterproof coating of some sort. I wonder how well they'll stand up to all the salt and crud we get in the winter... So far leaning towards Weathertech. I've heard they tend to look scratched up and worn pretty quickly though. Is that true?
I have the Weathertech ones. Yes, they do look scratched up and worn even after cleaning following a Michigan winter. Still far superior coverage compared to the Toyota all weather floor liners that I had originally.
I've had Weathertech liner on my minivan. It was very durable, but yes it did get scratched though I can't say more so than other brands for I never had different liners to compare. On PRIME, my TOYOTA OEM all-weather mat get very dirty with mud and salt every winter, I usually clean it by washing very good with soapy water and brush and use 303 protectant spray to dress it.
I also got Weathertech floor liners for mine this past winter. Very satisfied, excellent coverage, easy to take out and clean, etc. As others have said, they do get scratched and stained, but I can accept that
I got the Husky X-Act Contour (part number 52211). So far I'm happy. The fit is really good and they feel very durable. I like that they're not super rigid. Only issue is fit in the passenger's side... There is a small crease but it's not a big deal to me. Maybe I'll post an update after winter to see how they hold up.
3D kagu maxpider mats are awesome. Especially in the rear seats, where they continue over the middle hump.
Yep.. I actually had the 3D Maxpiders on order but changed my mind due to a combination of shipping delays and worried about durability. I don't regret getting the Huskys since I think they'll hold up better in the long run, even if they don't look as nice. If I ever get mats for the back seats, the 3D's might be the way to go
Those Huskys look good! If you live in a snowy climate then the channels will be much better than the 3D Maxspiders. (But they do look cool!)
I got Weathertech for both my Gen 2 and Gen 3 Prius. Both of them in gray. For some reason, the Weathertech mats grabbed onto whatever oily stuff you walk through getting to your car. This showed up on the gray floor mats. After a couple years, I replaced the gray ones in the Gen 2 Prius with Husky in black. They seem to be a little sloppier with their fit, and there wasn't a hole cutout for the fuel door release lever. I like the spikes on the bottom, usually, but when reaching under the mat for the fuel release, it's not pleasant with those dragging on the back of my hand. (not so unpleasant that I've trimmed them off, or cut a hole for the lever - it's a Prius, so by the time I need another fill up, I've forgotten what I wanted to do. I just keep getting the reminder of what I should do one day...)
