Anyone have the rear passenger door weatherstripping fail? The front edge of my passenger rear door rubber seal has disintegrated and half has fallen off. Anyone have this happen and is it an easy fix? This is a piece of rubber seal that covers the area in front of the door frame along the window, attached to the door, Maybe 14” or so. A bit of this rubber part is visible from outside the car when the door is closed. This is Not the seal that goes all the way around the door. I can hear a bit of wind noise from this area.
Yes mine has failed one side has perished into a weird tar- like goo on the door. 75978-47050 ( driver side) and 75977-47050 ( pass side) Mike
That's exactly what happened to all four rubber trim strips that keep rain and trash from falling down past the window into the door on my 3rd-generation regular Prius.
The part numbers i posted above came from the dealer- these are incorrect. as I posted in another thread the dealer says they don't show on his parts diagram...
