Last time I looked, the e-tron was more expensive then the similar Tesla with roughly ⅔ the range (entry level pack) - although the longer range pack is advertised as 95 kwh there isn't any place telling interested Folk how big the unusable upper and lower and buffers are. That might mean owners are only using 85 kwh as Porsche Audi does like to protect capacity longevity by a large unusable buffer. Likely the fit & finish is dead nuts as usual w/Audi but that's a whole lot of extra Dinero & refueling stops from shorter-range as an offset / difference in body panel gaps.

Yeah there's a huge buffer but that's been shrunk for 2021 (and with the introduction of the Sportback). That's why the regular e-tron's range has increased. Same for I-Pace - its range increased due to increased usable capacity with OTA update.
