Looks like Tesla's QA was on vacation... Tesla convertible? Model Y roof flies off while owners drive down California highway - The Verge
Yet they keep selling. I have heard so many people who have had issues with their Model X. Tesla really needs to step up with quality control. Makes you wonder if the workers in the factory are deliberately over looking steps in the build process.
A co-worker had his Model 3 windshield broken during transport. Tesla just notified him and made another car for him.
media hype. short sellers. most owners are quite happy with the quality. like any vehicle, some have issues. gen 4 prius windshields, 12v batteries, large screens, everyone has some defects
I have owned many Toyota’s including a Prius C and my current Prius. I have never had any defects in any my cars and they have been extremely reliable. I have owned many other makes German and Japanese and nothing compares to Toyota. I don’t need the headaches or nor do I have the time to deal with new car defects.
Yeah, I heard about that! I’d definitely file that one in the folder labeled, “not supposed to happen!”
Which would you rather have from Tesla? Open roof driving or suspension that may fail? This is Tesla’s fourth recall of cars exported from the U.S. Earlier recalls in China involved replacing faulty airbags made by Takata, and fixing or preventing steering problems.
My last 3 Hondas were: 1 Rust through 2 brake system cylinders (5) replaced before 20k 3 total transmission failure and 3 defective wheels. My last 3 Toyotas were; 1 oil leak 2 pLock failure 4 times leaving me stranded 3 gas fill defect. My last Nissan: 1 rusted through in 2 years. Defects can be found in any vehicle (or almost any) no matter the country of origin.
I was in northern VA until 12 years ago. I traveled all over including in winter to ski areas in the NE.Ever been on the PA turnpike in winter? And even in central NC, they brine highways and bridges in anticipation of snow/ice. They have already in 2020 as a test in anticipation. I live in an HOA community and I have bags of salt in my garage to spread on the roads in front of my house.
Originally from the tri-state area. Very aware of winter and salted roads. But never had any Toyota, Subaru or Nissan rust through or evan show rust top side. But then I would weekly go to the do it yourself car wash and spray the cars down with high pressure water.
