I want to thank those people who told me about a possible extended warranty on the abs/booster that just came out a few Months ago. My booster was failing last week leaving me with no brakes and the abs pump went out 2 years ago. It all just got replaced by Toyota at 136,000 miles thanks to that extended warranty. Your car has to have the code for them to be able to warranty . This has saved me thousands at a time when I dont have the $$$ . Thank you !
I'm seeing this warranty extension on Prius and Prius Plug-in, but I don't see the V Wagon included. Is it?
We got the extension letter from Toyota. Comes with a paper you put in the back of the manual, 2012 model year if that helps any. moto g(7) power ? View attachment 200503
Thanks for pointing out that it's a new mailing. I just had inverter warranty work done on my '13 V, so when I received mail last week from Toyota, I assumed it was in relation to that... and hadn't opened it yet. Just checked, and it is indeed the documentation for the extension of this recall. Nice!
For them to replace with the warranty, did it have to have a specific code or multiple codes for them to cover?
I got mine today for my 2015 v. I think the letter said the extension was for 2012-14 and some 2015 models of the v.
Letter will state: "One or more of the following specific Diagnostic Codes (DTCs) C1391, C12252, C1256 or C1253 will be stored in the vehicles memory to be used as verification." You will also have warning lights lit (Brake, !,ABS,Slip, etc.). Call Toyota Customer Experience Center with any questions. I had work done with just C1391 code (100% expenses covered and rental car).
