Hello! I have a 2004 Prius. I know absolutely nothing about cars, my father in law usually has me "help him" fix my car but he's out of state right now, so I'm on my own. Please explain it to me like I'm 5 or point me to a post that explains it like everyone else is 5. The LEDs on the driver's side back light went out so I bought a whole new rear assembly online and spent two hours watching youtube tutorials while taking the whole back of the car apart to switch the rear assembly out. Now nothing works at all (indicator light, brake light, nothing). What did I do wrong? What should I check to try to fix it?
I don't know if this will help you out but seemed to one of only a few that included any howto info: BROKEN REAR Tailight Cover & Running light inside-Best way to replace? I hope that helps. If you want to look for others, try this link: Search Results for Query: rear light assembly
Maybe you forgot to put connectors back... Next time, you can make preliminary tests, with lamp in your hand, ask someone to light the lights... And first of all, test the bulbs...
