I don't know what's causing this. I can't choose any charge schedules, I can't create new ones or delete old ones, and I can't enable/disable Charge Now. All options are grayed out. This is whether plugged in or not. I know I have to be missing something.
LOL. I'm an idiot. I had turned off the only charge schedule I had set. That turns everything grey, including CHARGE NOW.
Well, that's screwy. You'd think turning off the only scheduled charge would make charge now automatic. I wouldn't have guessed that either.
Weird. I don't have a charging schedule set to anything but I have the option to charge now. And always have.
I have not used the charge schedule on my new 2022 PP, nor did I use the schedule on my previous 2021 PP, but I can't remember ever encountering that situation on my 2017 PP which I used schedule almost every day. I don't think I have ever "turned off" the schedule, so I didn't know the effect of such action. But, with All options grayed out, what happens if you physically plug in the charging cord? Does it charge or not regardless of the option chosen on the dash?
As I recall, when the PP debuted in 2016, we had a thread on this and one could force charge the car if you inserted the J1772 handle twice in a row after it kicked you out following the first try.
It's grayed out, but displays "Charge Now ON," and it does. However, being from the IT world makes me think that when an option is disabled it's disabled, as in this option is irrelevant because the current configuration is such that changing it will have no effect. Toyota means "the ability to change this setting is disabled."
