Getting code P0AC2, red triangle, VSC, and some abs codes. Some tell me I need a new HV battery. I tried using torque as pictured to see if I could narrow down which blocks are bad but all seem to be very similar. Anyone had this issue/code before or any input as to what I should try next. I really appreciate any help! Have a good Easter. Jim Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
How many miles on the vehicle? Has the HV battery ever been touched before? Is that the only code Torque is reporting?
P0AC2 has nothing to do with module blocks. This code is : Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor Circuit High Potential Causes: HV battery assembly (wiring harness or connector) Battery current sensor Battery ECU As asked previously, has this battery been worked on recently or is it virgin? I would venture either the plug has backed out of the current sensor (located in the battery pack), the current sensor is going bad, or the ecu is having some issues. Clear up this issue and the other fault lights will go away.
It's the original battery. It is the only code other than VSC and Abs lights Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Did you find a solution for this? I have a 2006 Prius with a HV Battery pack that was just purchased from a Toyota store. I installed the HV battery and the following codes came back: P3000 P0AC2 C1259 C1310 Any ideas where to start
Recheck all of the connections made during the installation, pay attention to the 'current sensor' and check for ECU corrosion as well. Here on page 66 of 165 (or HB 66) is the workup for DTC P0AC2 (P0AC0 P0AC1 P0ABF): https://attachments.priuschat.com/attachment-files/2020/03/183963_Hybrid_Battery.pdf You may want to consider a 'mini-vci' cable and a copy of techstream, this is the same software the dealer technicians use to test/diagnose/repair vehicles with. Some DTCs have associated INFs (AKA secondary codes, subcodes, detail codes), knowing the subcode for a particular DTC may help diagnose the issue, potentially saving time and money. DTC P3000 has five (5) related INFs (subcodes).
