Prius 2013 I downloaded the swdl.iso inside the 01039-HBEDR-16A.zip file on the Toyota site and installed it. This is an upgrade from 3.2 to 5.1. And now nothing works. I have a Pixel 3XL running Android 11. I can bluetooth pair the phone to the car but the phone doesn't work through the speakers. And as soon as I push play in a music app on the phone car bluetooth settings page shows that it is disconnecting for music. Everything was working fine until I decided to upgrade.
Looks like nobody has had this problem. Maybe the problem is that the upgrade 5.1 released in 2016 way before Android 11 and the two systems don't talk to each other. Is there any way to go back to the earlier entune 3.2. Does anybody have that file? Maybe I can try loading it? EDIT: found an old version somewhere and tried to load it. No luck. Can't go back!!! EDIT: walked in to a dealer. They were clueless. Suggested I call toyota. Got through (800 331 4331) without a wait! Talked to a woman there that suggested removing personal data through the menu.... Somewhere under General. And then doing another bluetooth pairing. Maybe that is what it took because I am now able to connect phone and music. Might also have been hitting pair on the phone BEFORE hitting accept on the car while doing the bluetooth setup again, although I think I tried it in that order when I was unsuccessful yesterday. Not sure, but at least it appears to be working.
Boy this stuff is still in it's infancy. Hopefully in a few years they'll streamline this. Think the wide selection of smart phones does not help too.
