And THAT is getting pretty close to a blatant insult.......on a couple of levels. Or do I misunderstand the comment somehow ??
Asking whether the cup is half full or half empty yields the same result. People were trying to find out if the tires were rotated from side to side, which would yield a similar answer to yours...
So, by that particular reasoning, it is just fine to cross-rotate IF the tires lack directional arrows. Right? Both of my Priuses came from the factory with tires lacking directional arrows.
I don't know. Do ALL "directional" tires have arrows embossed in the sidewall ?? I would hope so......but maybe not. It is "just fine" to follow the directions.
I'm truly sorry I asked OP if he followed the Owner's Manual instruction for tire rotation, 'cus here we are... Guess if it wasn't that, it'd be something else...
You know, there are many problems in this world, but I'm pretty sure you're not one of them. You keep being you, @Mendel Leisk.
If some directional tires don't have an arrow embossed in the sidewall, then they must have some other method(s) of signaling to owners and tire installers which side of the vehicle they must be placed on. What might that signal be?
My last set of tires would lose 1 psi per week with 3 mm of tread left, the tires were 4 years old. The psi lost happened on all 4s. When the tires were new, I only experienced 1 psi drop per month. You may have check tire age and measure tread height.
