So I installed the new ABS actuator and there is still that loud beeping noise, is this because of something I have to do in tech stream? I ordered the dongle already for it the mini-Vci but I have no idea what to do besides bleeding brakes.
The loud beep indicates a failure to build the correct pressure. It might be good to review your installation procedure for any way the actuator could have had air allowed to enter, or isn't completely filled with fluid.
Yeah I think air may have gotten into it, but bleeding the brakes with techstream should fix that right?
you must bleed brakes after the install. Can't just install and drive. Techstream has the function to do it, but the mini vci cable is not very good. You may lose connection many times as you're trying to bleed the brakes.
It will beep after the install. You need to run the bleed function of Techstream and use the "Replaced ABS Actuator" function. It will go through the steps and outline what to do as you go along. Check for codes when you are done, you may still have to calibrate the steering angle sensor after the bleed steps are done, and that is separate.
Okay so I keep getting the c1256 and c1253 codes too and also the linear valve offset won’t calibrate and the relays under the hood are making a clicking sound I did the bleed process and got thru it as well
Also the beeping sound is now gone but I tried doing the steering angle sensor and stuff but it seems to not work
Hello! I am having a similar problem - replaced the brake actuator, put everything back together. Now when I open the door I hear a click from the unit and the terrible warning beep resumes. Also in addition to initial warning lights I now have the ! triangle of death and the red car outline. Was the OP able to get their problem fixed? I am trying to decide whether it is worth it to go buy this techstream or not. Thanks so much
Welcome to PriusChat!! Since you have warning lights, do you have any OBD2 codes worth sharing? (you may want to start your own thread for this issue) Given the other options, it may be the least expensive approach, and is the same software that a dealer technician would use to diagnose.
