On your Gen 2 Prius, what is your favorite oil fill funnel? I've always found it awkward with the cowl directly over top of the oil fill hole. I use this one, but I still don't quite like it, as the height of this funnel makes it a little difficult to fit it in. https://www.jbtools.com/hopkins-10709-flotool-spill-saver-locking-oil-funnel/ There has got to be something better out there.
Not only do I not wear underwear, but I don't use a funnel... I find it especially entertaining to carefully pour the oil out of the 5 quart container when it's really windy out. My engine is dirty and needs cleaning!
I found this for 3D printing a funnel. It looks like a nice design, but I don't have a large 3D printer. I imagine it would be costly to print. PrusaPrinters
Since our cars are becoming more and more plastic, buying a 3D printer might not be so far-fetched an idea in the future! "What's you doing, honey?" "Oh just printing out a new radiator!"
Been using this one for decades. Works fin on Gen 2, 3, & 4 as well as lots of older cars and trucks.
Just don't EVER start a vehicle with anything sticking inside the fill hole! A guy had a metallic fill thing sticking in one and when he started the car it caught on something and snapped the timing chain clean off! A bad day for him...ended up getting fired. (Just a young kid starting off so was doing an oil change job.)
I let them dry out first. I can "adjust" height easily. Cost around 15 or 20 cents (USD) and 16 ounces of water free with each purchase.
I usually think I don't NEED a funnel. And then manage to spill all over without one. The water bottle is also my fave, although I have an OLD<OLD<OLD< metal funnel (galvanized??) from back maybe the 1960s with the long flexible gooseneck tail. Have not used it for years. Maybe time to recycle it.
