I've been looking for a set of CE28s for my Gen 4 LE and found the set above on eBay. However, the automated compatibility-checker said they aren't compatible with my car. Might this be because the standard offset is +40 and, if so, is that a problem? Or might it be that the standard rim width is 6.5 inches? (I'd prefer 6.5 or 7, but CE28s seem pretty scarce.) Does either disqualify them? Thanks in advance.
It should fit, the wheel face will be 2.5mm more inboard from stock, which is negligible. The inside of the wheel will be farther from the strut (less than 0.5 inch), so no clearance issues there. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Here's a screenshot of a tire size comparison app. Stock wheel is yellow, narrower wheel with +35 offset in green. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Those will fit with no problem. I'm essentially running a 15x6.0 +25 (it's a +45 offset but I'm running 20mm spacers) and only then does it barely rub (because I'm lowered). A +35 will clear without a problem. The Ce28 you're looking at is the Ce28 Eco. Those (in a 15" 5x100) only came in 15x6.0 +35. The non eco comes in 15x6.5 +45 and only available in bronze but super super rare in 5x100 and don't come up often . I was lucky enough to come across two pairs in two years that weren't beat to crap but went with the lighter Rays Super Eco. Don't buy from that person on ebay for 2k... The Ce28 eco isn't very popular compared to the non eco because of its narrow width. They can be bought from Japan to the US for about 1.2-1.5k. I've been eyeing a few and kinda tempted to get a set lol Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
