I bought a used key fob that wasn’t “blanked”. When I attempted to register it to my car it said the fob was already registered. Am I able to “blank” out the fob with my tech stream?
There are some services that can make the key a "virgin" key again. Once you get it back to a virgin state, then you can program it to your car. I think these services can be performed by locksmiths or even some Ebay listings may have these services
A used key FOB can't be blanked... But you can wipe all FOBs from the system and reseed used fobs into it. An electronic locksmith can do this. Or you can use Toyota Techstream and use a security based on VIN# and some math that a business in the EU sells for less than $50.
