If this is common forgive my post, but it was a fun surprise to find a message after I cleaned under my cup holders. I was going to leave all of the gunk I found under my center console front cup holders as I looked for a way to put a noise filter on the 12V power outlet for a cheap bluetooth handsfree device that had engine noise. But late last night I cleaned it and let it dry for morning, and in the the daylight I saw a short message scratched into the plastic in Kanji that had been buried under coffee/soda/melted crayon/dirt caked on from 15 years of ownership. One of the characters may translate to "completed" so it might be an inspection mark, and in such neat writing. It must mean our car was made in Japan. Please translate for me if you don't mind. Wrong answers could be fun too, "don't look here".
It says 穴アリ meaning "hole exists". I have no idea what it is referring to. It may be to distinguish similar plastic parts without a hole?
Thank you, I am curious what hole, but not that curious, ha ha. There is a hole in the center hump in the floor, looks like the emergency brake adjustment.
Well cup holder is a hole of sorts maybe asian models get a drainhole at cup holder lawd it needs one he he
