Well....I sold my 2006 Prius and purchased a new 2022 XLE. I also have a 2011 Leaf. Here's my question: My Leaf plug-in "brick" has been modified to charge on either 110 or 220V, using the appropriate NEMA plug. I tried to use it on the Prius, but it will not charge from a 110 outlet-(it shows a flashing green light, but no charge). It works just fine from a 220V outlet. So...it looks like I'll have to carry two charging connectors, or modify the 110V Prius brick. Any suggestions?
The Leaf charges using the "brick" on both 110 and 220V but the Prime only charges at 220V using the same "brick"? Have your tried the "brick" recently on both voltages to charge the Leaf? I'm trying to eliminate the possibility the "brick" doesn't charge anything at 110V.
Thanks for your response. I've got it all sorted out. I cannot charge the Prius on 110V with the modified Leaf Brick, but it works fine on a 220V outlet. So, if I take the Prius cross-country, I'll just carry both cables, using the Prius cable for 110V, and the Leaf cable for 220V.
