I want to change from a Fit GE6 - Prius 30

Good day friends. Currently I'm driving a GE6 Honda Fit. The road noise is unbearable(I have hyperacusis) on some rough streets here. I tried changing the tires and it got worse so I had them swapped back to the old ones. The suspension is also pretty hard. I test rode(can't drive here) a Prius touring model. While the suspension was hard, I realized it was softer then my 2nd Gen Honda Fit. Road noise was also quieter despite not being a really quiet car.

However it's an 09 Gen 3. It been ran 45,981 miles, which isn't bad, but I'm worried about the fact that it's the first year of gen 3. Also it's 2 years older then my Fit. I also read that the 2011 facelift improved quietness.

I'm thinking it's better to see if the dealer can find me a later year of the same car. Any thoughts?

Another question I have is how thin are the driver side windows? The windows on my Fit are thin enough that passing trucks and motorcycles hurt my ear. I feel like other cars I have driven were not as bad.

I thought about saving money for a 2016 Gen 4. The issue I have is that it's more expensive and bigger(can be an issue here).

I unfortunately can't test drive here unless I find a rental car. What I will say is the Prius didn't get obnoxiously loud on the highway at 100km and seemed more stable then the 2nd gen Fit. The Chassis noise from road imperfections was not much different, but it was at a tolerable level. Much more then the Fit. However this Prius had 17 inch wheels while my Fit has 14 and thicker walls. I imagine switching the Priuses wheels to 15 or 16 will help even more.

Unfortunately as I wasn't allowed to drive I couldn't get a proper feel for the window noise.

I'm at a loss because I already dropped what was equivalent to 500$ to swap tires on the Fit and I had to pay them to swap them back to the old ones because the noise was so bad I wanted to cry...
