Evidence of previous maintenance?

    Hi everyone this evening I was going to preform a transaxle fluid swap on my 2014 when I saw these blue marks. Are these from factory? They are on both drain and fill plugs.

    I think so my Gen 2 has pink marks all over the transaxle like that

    Probably marked after torquing at factory. There's some transaxle fluid change tips in my sig btw.

    Cool thanks guys. My genius self bought a set of hex sockets for the change but none of the 8 sizes were the one I needed

    Don't forget, when changing your transaxle fluid, ALWAYS remove the fill bolt first.

    That way you won't be in a situation where you have dumped your transaxle fluid and cannot remove the fill bolt, leaving you stuck with an undriveable car.

    Well I got my answer. The fluid was pitch black when I drained it yesterday. Full of the good stuff now. (ATF WS)
