2014 Prius C 114,000 miles I recently replaced a module because I diagnosed one being bad using the Dr Prius app and with the battery being outside the car. However, after driving about 15 miles the light came back on. Delta SOC was 0% until it failed and it jumped to 35%, Delta Voltage was also about 0.2-0.4 stable. Internal resistance 22.0 across all modules. However, temps were at 105F+ and it was night time 75F ambient. I tried to do the life expectancy test and it said the inverter was too hot. Is it possible this issue isn't coming from a bad traction battery and possible something else? Fan is spotless, no blockages. I know the fan works because I've heard it turn on before, but it usually isn't audible. Bus bars have been replaced. The car was driving great with optimal MPG until the light comes on... Please any advice. I would like to add that the car sat for 3 months with no driving at all as I was out of the country. Is it possible for it to just kill a battery this way though?
Long term storage isn't great for Prius traction batteries. You aren't the first to have trouble after needing to park one for a while.
