I have a 2008 trans I want to put into my 2005. I heard the temp connectors are different. Can I pop out the 2005 connectors from the original trans and swap them to the 2008 trans? Watched the YouTube video of them dissembling the trans and they’re connected to a connector behind the connectors. Anyone have insight for the connector swaps? Is it that simple, or do I need to cut and solder the 2008 wiring temp harness?

Last question if any engineer can answer. I assume the trans can go at anytime, but I have free towing. The Prius has around 325,000, runs great with no issues or noises, other than the code popping up. The drivetrain is as smooth as the day I picked her up new at 5 miles. I have also been beating the hell out of it recently trying to get it to blow, if that puts enough stress on the windings. How long can the trans go with what I am assuming are the windings melting down?
